I have been thinking a lot about courage, love and staying in my heart during these terrible times we find ourselves in.
Today, Secretariat came into my mind and I remembered the story of his great heart.
I hope it inspires you as it does me.
I have decided to focus on the Great Heart of Secretariat and imagine my own getting bigger and bigger.
If you have never seen the clip of him winning the 1973 Belmont Race by 31 impossible lengths I have included the link below.
In honor of the great heart of Secretariat, and believing 6 impossible things before breakfast.
May all our hearts continue to grow!
The Great Heart of Secretariat
After Secretariat died, it was discovered that his heart weighed between 21-22 pounds, two and a half times bigger than an average horse heart.
“We just stood there in stunned silence. We couldn’t believe it. The heart was perfect. There were no problems with it. It was just this huge engine,” said Dr. Swerczek.
